Alia Bhatt Reveals the Real Reason Behind Jee Le Zaraa Delays, Talks About Inshallah with Sanjay Leela Bhansali

Alia Bhatt, who has been busy promoting her latest film Jigra, recently addressed the much-talked-about delays surrounding two of her highly anticipated projects—Jee Le Zaraa and Inshallah. Speaking in an interview with The Lallantop, the actor shed light on why these films are yet to see the light of day.

The Delay Behind Jee Le Zaraa

Announced back in 2021, Jee Le Zaraa was meant to be a milestone in Indian cinema—a buddy road trip film featuring Alia Bhatt, Priyanka Chopra, and Katrina Kaif, directed by Farhan Akhtar. However, since its announcement, the film has been continuously delayed, and rumors even circulated that it had been shelved due to the lead actors' scheduling conflicts, particularly with Priyanka Chopra and Katrina Kaif.

When asked about the project, Alia Bhatt revealed the reason behind the delays. "We have not scheduled shooting yet, but Jee Le Zaraa will definitely happen!" she said. "The film has the backing of all the key players—actors, producers, and the director—but coordinating everyone’s schedules has been a logistical challenge. However, since everyone involved has a strong intention for the film to happen, it will get made."

Despite the hurdles, the film remains on the radar for both the cast and crew. Alia’s assurance has offered hope to fans eager to see the trio of powerhouse actresses on screen together.

Will Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Inshallah Ever Happen?

Alia also touched upon the fate of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Inshallah, a romantic drama that was supposed to star Salman Khan alongside Alia. The project was shelved just before it went into production, sparking disappointment among fans.

When asked about the film, Alia expressed her fondness for the story and her hope that the film might still be made one day. "I hope he makes Inshallah someday because it's a beautiful story," she said. However, she didn’t divulge any further details about the plot.

Though Inshallah was shelved, Alia is set to reunite with Bhansali for another film titled Love and War, which will also star Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal. Alia confirmed that she has already completed the first schedule of her upcoming film Alpha, directed by Shiv Rawail, which is part of YRF's Spy Universe and marks the first female-led film in the franchise.

What's Next for Alia Bhatt?

With a busy slate ahead, including Love and War and Alpha, Alia continues to balance commercial blockbusters with content-driven projects. Her statement about Jee Le Zaraa has certainly kept the excitement alive for Farhan Akhtar’s long-awaited directorial comeback. Meanwhile, her collaboration with Bhansali in Love and War is poised to generate even more buzz among moviegoers.

Fans will now wait to see if Jee Le Zaraa can overcome its logistical challenges and if Inshallah will ever be revisited. Either way, Alia Bhatt remains one of Bollywood's most bankable stars, constantly pushing the envelope with her versatile performances.
