Fighter: Deepika-Hrithik's film Fighter banned in Gulf countries, these films also did not get green signal from the censor board

The film "Fighter" has been banned in several Middle Eastern countries, except in the UAE, where it received a PG15 rating from the censor board. The reasons behind the ban remain undisclosed.
This ban might impact the film's box office collections, considering it has not received a green light from censor boards in Gulf countries. However, the global collection, especially from non-Gulf countries, is expected to contribute significantly to the overall success. Directed by Siddharth Anand, the film stars Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone, Anil Kapoor, Karan Singh Grover, and Akshay Oberoi.

Based on the Balakot airstrike, the movie depicts the Indian Air Force's retaliation against terrorist organizations following a terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir. This strike targeted a Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) camp in Balakot, Pakistan, in response to the loss of around 40 CRPF personnel in a terrorist attack.

This collaboration marks Deepika Padukone's third film with Siddharth Anand, following the success of "Bachna Ae Haseeno" in 2008 and the blockbuster "Pathan" in 2023. It is also the third film for Siddharth Anand with Hrithik Roshan, who plays Squadron Leader Shamsheer Pathaniya, and Deepika Padukone as Squadron Leader Meenal Rathore.

Apart from "Fighter," several other Indian films have faced bans in Gulf countries due to historical inaccuracies and controversial content. Akshay Kumar's "BellBottom" and Vijay's "Beast" were also banned in the Middle East. Vidya Balan's "The Dirty Picture," based on Silk Smitha's life, also faced a ban in Gulf countries.

Before its release, "Fighter" has generated significant buzz, earning over 5 crore rupees through advance bookings. With a budget of approximately 250 crores, the film is being hailed as India's first aerial action film, promising a unique cinematic experience.
